Pexip announced as the winner of the International Star Award at the European Small and Mid-Cap Awards at the SME Assembly, 17th November

“We appreciate the recognition for winning our category at the European Small and Mid-Cap Awards 2021. Just being nominated and shortlisted was positive feedback and great recognition, but winning the European award is of course even better.

Our progression from founding the company to the official listing at the Oslo Stock Exchange, and the great development since then, has been a great journey. We wish all European companies in all branches the very best," said Pexip CFO and Interim CEO, Øystein Hem.

The European Small and Mid-Cap Awards were first organized in 2013 and aim to promote best practices and the success stories of the most dynamic small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) financed by European public capital markets.

This is a joint initiative of the European Commission, leading European securities exchanges and EuropeanIssuers to encourage more SMEs and growth companies to access capital markets via IPOs, and to showcase the diversity of European markets.

SMEs created the foundation for the European economy today and in the future. More than 98% of EU firms are SMEs, and they account for two-thirds of all employment as well as nearly 60% of the gross value added in the EU economy. As the basis for entrepreneurship, jobs and growth, SMEs require a favorable environment which meets their financing needs, in particular when accessing markets.
