Frequently asked questions
Which meetings can I join from my Google Meet hardware?
Per February 2026, you can join Microsoft Teams meetings straight from all your Google Meet hardware devices, both on Android and ChromeOS. We plan to add support for other third-party meetings such as those hosted on Zoom, Webex, and more – anything via SIP.
Can I join Google Meet meetings from my SIP and H.323 room systems?
Yes! With Pexip, you can easily join Google Meet meetings from your existing standards-based devices. Just schedule or set up meetings in Google Calendar or Outlook (with the Google Outlook add-in for Office 365) as normal, and all additional joining information is added automatically.
What about analytics and insights?
Pexip Control Center provides enterprise-grade real-time and historical insight and analytics for all your meetings and calls.
Why pay for Pexip when I can get Google's built-in interop for free?
Pexip provides a high-quality alternative to the free solution, which is based on web-based Direct Guest Join (DGJ).
With Pexip, you get premium interoperability on ALL your Google Meet hardware devices (not just ChromeOS devices), providing a consistent and seamless meeting experience across all your rooms.
With extensive analytics available and plans to add even more features like HDMI content sharing, dual screen support, lobby bypass, and SIP dialing in the future, Pexip provides the most extensive interoperability between Google Meet rooms and Teams meetings.
While Google's built-in interop makes sense for organizations with only ChromeOS devices, Pexip's offering is ideal for enterprise organizations with a mix of legacy and modern room systems.
Pexip has successfully provided this service as an alternative to DGJ on both Zoom Rooms and Teams Rooms for years, with hundreds of enterprise organizations trusting Pexip for its quality of service, analytics and insight, and our customer service and support.

Furthermore, Pexip provides a service that is not dependent on the in-room device, and manages content, video, and audio streams independently, which allows us to add both features and capabilities not supported by the web-based service.
How can I trust that the solution will do what it says?
Google has partnered with Pexip since 2019 to be the only provider of Google Meet interoperability. The solution has been widely deployed and used with enterprise customers around the world, and it's fully supported by both Google and Pexip.
