Join Teams meetings from Zoom Rooms. Zoom & Pexip partnership

Oslo, Norway, 10th February 2022 - Pexip, a leading enterprise video communication platform provider, today announced the availability of its Enterprise Room Connector (ERC) solution in the Microsoft Azure Marketplace, a portal that is the most comprehensive online global software market, providing applications and services certified to run in the Microsoft Azure cloud. Being available in the Marketplace enables customers to simply and efficiently procure Pexip through their existing contracts with Microsoft, extending Pexip’s reach to a broader customer base and making it easier for customers to both subscribe to and get started with Pexip.

Pexip has been the only Certified Video Interoperability Partner (CVI) for both Microsoft Teams and Skype for Business for several years. The usage of Microsoft Teams has skyrocketed as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic and customers now see a greater need to connect their existing video conferencing solutions with their Teams meetings. The Pexip Enterprise Room Connector enables that integration, and, at the same time, provides a way for customers to consolidate their video meeting solutions to the cloud.

When buying through the Azure Marketplace, customers and channel partners benefit from simpler decision processes as a result of standardized procurement contracts that are covered by their existing agreements with Microsoft. In addition, because Pexip is a trusted and Preferred Independent Software Vendor (ISV) Partner of Microsoft, customers can rest assured that the product is vetted and validated by Microsoft solution experts. About 95% of Fortune 500 companies use Microsoft Azure and are able to procure their solutions via the Marketplace.

“We have many customers such as Accenture, Amnesty International, Beiersdorf, Nvidia and LinkedIn that are already utilizing the potential that lies in the Pexip ERC offering, seamlessly connecting third-party video conferencing systems with Microsoft Teams meetings and integrating with existing workflows. We are excited to make this even more accessible to other large organizations through our listing on the Azure Marketplace,” said Åsmund Fodstad, Chief Revenue Officer at Pexip.

“We are very pleased to see Pexip making its products available through the Microsoft Commercial Marketplace. We have a long-standing relationship with Pexip and, as our customers are moving an increasingly large part of their enterprise software procurement through the Marketplace, we see this as a great opportunity for Pexip to reach these customers and enable purchasing through the portal,” said John Henrik Andersen, Director of Partner Development,  Microsoft Western Europe.

Pexip sells exclusively through channel partners and inclusion in the Marketplace benefits these reseller partners by speeding up sales cycles and expanding customer access.

“As a Pexip channel partner, we at Kinly are always looking to simplify the customer journey and with Pexip on Microsoft Azure Marketplace, it will be easier for our customers to purchase and implement the Pexip solution. Many of our customers have a need to seamlessly connect video systems from different manufacturers, as well as a range of different communication platforms; Pexip makes this possible. This is an important business area for Kinly and we see this as positive development that will help us extend our customer reach,” said Tom Martin, Managing Director & EVP Northern Europe, Kinly.
