The in-meeting experience is controlled by the third-party meeting platform. For instance, a Zoom meeting has a Zoom-like meeting experience.

This also means that platforms like Zoom that support DTMF meeting controls can be used from the Teams Room.

How is Pexip Connect for Teams Rooms different than just leveraging Microsoft BYOD?

Pexip Connect for Teams Rooms enables customers to standardize on Teams Rooms devices ensuring one touch to join simplicity for users to join Teams and other meetings such as Zoom. Whereas BYOD requires users to find or schedule a room, bring their laptop, connect the room camera, speakers and microphone, login to their machine, open the appropriate app, i.e. Teams or Zoom etc based on the meeting type, all of which has the potential to significantly delay the start of the meeting and potential to add to user frustration not to mention multiple meeting applications need to be managed by IT on everyone’s laptop.
