Pexip has released version 21 of its cloud-enabled video conferencing platform, Infinity. The latest release is based on feedback from users and includes a number of improvements to areas such as:

Infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS)
To bring administrators more flexibility, Infinity now supports cloud bursting in Google Cloud Platform, as well as Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS). This means companies can dynamically and automatically start and stop conferencing capacity whenever needed, allowing for a lower starting cost without compromising quality or capacity. In addition, Infinity now supports Azure Global VNet peering to reduce the cost and complexity of global deployments, and can also be deployed on AWS C5 instances.

Meeting experience
Meetings today are not confined to the board room or desk, and participants expect a great experience regardless of how others join. To provide a more natural meeting experience, Infinity now displays mobile users in portrait mode in the conference. In addition, company administrators can now customize the background users see when joining meetings with the Infinity web application for the first time.

Microsoft Teams
Starting from version 21, companies can use video conferencing systems to live stream meetings to Microsoft Teams with Pexip as an RTMP encoder. Separately, when recording a Microsoft Teams meeting, a recording indicator is now shown on video conference systems to ensure VTC participants are aware the meeting is being recorded. Both new features complement Pexip’s existing native Cloud Video Interoperability for Microsoft Teams.

“We’re constantly listening to feedback from customers and the market to deliver a best-in-class video collaboration platform,” said Tom-Erik Lia, chief commercial officer, Pexip. “Infinity meets the rigorous demands of some of the largest consumers of video conferencing in the world, and we’re excited about how the improvements in version 21 will help our customers to scale and deliver a better meeting experience.”

Other updates include an improved admin experience, support for OAUTH for Office 365, new APIs and more. A full list of what’s included in version 21 is available here, and the software download is available here.
