How to join Teams meetings from Google Meet hardware
Join scheduled and ad-hoc Teams meetings from Google Meet rooms.
Join a scheduled Teams meeting
Duplicate the calendar event and join with one touch
- Locate the Teams meeting in your calendar
- Click Options (three dots)
- Choose Duplicate
- Add the room you want to use to your new event
- Remove attendees who will not be in the room you are reserving
- Click Save and send the invite
- You can now join the Teams meeting with a simple tap on the touch controller
You are a guest in the Teams meeting. A meeting host will have to admit you from the lobby.
Join an ad-hoc Teams meeting
When the meeting is not in your calendar
- Locate the Teams meeting in your calendar
- Find the Teams Meeting ID and Passcode in the invite
- On the Google touch controller, tap Join or start meeting
- From the drop-down menu, choose Teams
- Type in the Teams Meeting ID and Passcode to join the meeting
You are a guest in the Teams meeting. A meeting host will have to admit you from the lobby.
Tips
If you're not able to join the meeting....
- If you don’t see the meeting on the control panel, check the calendar invite. Did you invite the room?
- If “Join” fails, check your network connectivity.
- If video or audio doesn’t work, check your volume, mic mute, or camera selection.
- If you’re waiting in the lobby, ask someone in the meeting to “admit” your room.
