Join any meeting from Microsoft Teams Rooms. Available now

RingCentral wanted to ensure their customers could seamlessly join Teams meetings from RingCentral Rooms, so they turned to Pexip’s powerful interoperability technology for the answer – marking yet another addition to Pexip’s already-strong portfolio of partnerships with industry leaders.

RingCentral delivers state-of-the-art video-enabled meeting rooms to businesses worldwide. For them, it was key that their customers could get the most out of their meeting platform, which meant ensuring that their RingCentral Rooms were compatible with other video meeting services, specifically Microsoft Teams.

Making the Teams connection

At Pexip, we’ve long been a close partner and collaborator with Microsoft, working together to solve the very challenge RingCentral faced with the most powerful interoperability technology on the market. We see that organizations choose RingCentral to create incredible video meeting experiences, and at the same time, they require an interoperability partner like us to make sure their users can join as many meetings as possible, including those hosted on Teams.

What’s behind Pexip’s interoperability magic?

How we do it is simple. We are a Microsoft-certified Cloud Video Interop (CVI) provider that enables video systems, as in RingCentral’s, to enjoy easy access to Teams meetings in one touch, as well as a Teams-like experience once in the meeting. That means that the user will see a Teams-like layout on the screen, with a similar look and feel, complete with familiar colors, notifications, and even layout.

All you need to do is update

The even better news is that this Pexip-powered service is now available to all RingCentral Rooms customers, and it is automatically included at no extra cost. All that’s required is an update to the latest firmware version.

Seamless interoperability for all

Pexip’s latest collaboration with RingCentral is part of our strategy to enhance as many meeting rooms as possible with interoperability. We’re on a mission to enable any meeting room to join any type of meeting, and this brings us one step closer.

Employees shouldn’t be hampered by technological barriers, but instead just focus on the meeting at hand. That’s why we work with a growing list of partners. In addition to Microsoft Teams meetings, in the past year we also provided the ability to directly join as a guest to Zoom, Cisco, and GoTo meeting services using a SIP address or dial-in number.
