Pexip Infinity v38 is here – and with it comes a set of updates that help make secure collaboration more cost effective for IT teams, smoother for end users, and more powerful for meeting hosts.

From massive performance gains that make Infinity cheaper to operate, to personal layouts, to the brand-new Meeting Manager, this version gives customers even more of what they’ve been asking for.

Here’s a look at what’s new.

SIP media forwarding: reducing compute and lowering costs

One of the most impactful changes in v38 is SIP media forwarding for point-to-point calls. Instead of transcoding SIP-to-SIP calls, Infinity can now forward the video media directly, dramatically reducing the compute load.

This significantly lowers the cost to operate and run Pexip’s platform. With less hardware capacity required, you can lower your total cost of ownership and increase the ROI of your investment. It also makes Pexip a great alternative for Poly Clariti customers who need a scalable, cost-effective alternative.

SIP media forwarding is now available in v38 as a tech preview.

Personal layouts: a more personal meeting view

End users, especially in larger meetings, often want their own personal experience. Some want to focus on the main speaker while others want to see the body language of everyone else in the meeting. Pexip’s updated release now supports the ability for individuals in the meeting to choose one of the supported layouts – including custom layouts created by the organization – for their own personal experience without affecting the experience of other participants in the room.

This update is a response to direct customer feedback, and it’s especially useful in larger meetings where participants can change their own view without changing the conference set up.

This feature is available as a tech preview.

Meeting Manager: take control of your meetings

Another key addition is Meeting Manager, designed for conference hosts and managers who want more visibility and control during meetings.

By simply adding /mm to the end of the meeting URL, hosts can:

  • See who’s in the lobby
  • View all participants
  • Take direct actions, like joining the meeting or managing participants
This is especially useful for moderated meetings and high-security environments where access and visibility are critical. This capability is available as a tech preview.

Classification labels: now for gateway calls

This update builds on existing secure collaboration features, letting you add classification labels to gateway calls. For example, the platform can now mark meetings that include external participants and provide visual indicators that the information discussed is confidential.

You can also define your own classification and how the labels appear for each third-party meeting.

Think of it like the security labels in email systems: a clear, consistent way to communicate sensitivity and context. While the groundwork has been in place for several versions, it’s now fully functional for Secure Meetings and gateway calls into third-party meetings.

Right-to-left language support

Pexip’s web app now supports right-to-left languages, for organizations working in Arabic and Hebrew, for example, making the experience more inclusive and accessible for global users.

New accessibility verifications: European Accessibility Act (EAA)-ready

Pexip is now independently verified to comply with Section508, EN301549, and WCAG2.2 AA, meeting the requirements of the European Accessibility Act (EAA). This triple-standard compliance means you must no longer compromise between security and usability, and helps you meet the EAA enforcement deadline of 28 June 2025.

General UX improvements

We’re continuing to focus on the end-user experience, making ongoing improvements based on customer feedback. In this release, you’ll see:

  • Improved background blur and replacement
  • Enhanced privacy controls, including better defense mode options like hiding your location from other participants
These updates reflect our ongoing commitment to usability and privacy, especially in sensitive or secure environments.
