Introducing Pexip Connect One: A single license to connect every meeting room. Learn more

Call anyone directly. Read meeting captions in your own language. Keep the tools people know while choosing the technology behind them. Pexip Infinity v42 gives users a more personal experience and IT teams more control over how it all works.

Here’s what’s new.

Call people directly from the Infinity web app

User registration comes to the Infinity web app in v42, marking a major step towards a more user-centric experience. Available as a technical preview, it gives individuals their own dialable address, so they can make and receive video calls directly in the web app, without scheduling a meeting first.

Registration makes it easier to find and connect with people. Users can search the directory for people, rooms, and devices, with quick access to recent calls and favorites.

Follow the conversation in your language

In v42, each participant can choose their preferred language for live translated captions, independently of everyone else on the call. One conversation can now be followed in multiple languages at the same time.

Put real-time transcripts to work

A new transcription API will let third-party systems access meeting transcripts in real time. Organizations can use the transcript in their own workflows, including processing or summarizing it through a private AI solution, or publishing it in full.

Keep Outlook/Exchange. Choose your identity provider.

Your users can keep scheduling meetings through Outlook for personal Virtual Meeting Rooms, while IT gets more choice over the identity infrastructure behind it to authenticate them. Secure Scheduler for Exchange now supports generic identity providers, helping organizations fit Infinity into their existing security and identity policies.

V42 also helps customers move away from Microsoft’s Exchange Web Services (EWS) to Microsoft Graph API support. This change will help organizations maintain their Outlook/Exchange scheduling workflows using modern authentication, with certificate-based authentication available for organizations with stronger security requirements.

Clearer cues throughout the meeting

The in-conference clock and timer are now generally available, helping participants keep track of the current time, elapsed time, or time remaining. The visible date and time can also be preserved in recorded video when a timestamp is important for auditing or evidence.

Participants hear an audio announcement when moving between the main meeting and a breakout room, and hosts are notified if someone is already waiting in the lobby when they join.

Small changes make everyday meetings easier

Choose a lighter or stronger background blur, mirror your self-view, and see more clearly who can receive a direct message. Custom pre-meeting steps can now include external content such as video, making it easier to share important information before someone joins.

More control behind-the-scenes

Administrators also get finer control over third-party integrations. v42 adds filtering within the Event Sink API, so organizations can choose which Infinity events are sent to an integrated system rather than sending everything by default.
