Introducing Pexip Connect One: A single license to connect every meeting room. Learn more

Secure collaboration in defense and intelligence often crosses organizational and national boundaries. Who can take part may depend on clearance, nationality, organization, mission assignment, or need-to-know.

Those conditions can change quickly. Information classification gets upgraded, people change roles, and mission assignments shift after an invitation has been sent. A meeting link or PIN doesn’t account for those changes, potentially leaving your classified information exposed.

Access decisions need to draw on up-to-date information and the policies the organization already trusts. Pexip allows those policies to govern meetings and participants in real time.

Use the systems you already trust

Pexip is a secure, customizable collaboration platform that integrates with identity providers and attribute-based access control systems. Meeting access can follow the same rules that govern the organization’s wider security environment.

Defense and intelligence organizations have different technologies, classification structures, and operational requirements. Pexip can work with the systems each customer chooses and adapt to the way the organization operates.

Customers also decide how and where Pexip is deployed, whether on-premises, in a sovereign cloud, or through a hybrid model. Identity data and access policies remain in the systems the customer already uses and controls.

Turn policy into action

Pexip works with identity providers and policy decisions platforms that customers already trust, bringing their established policies into secure collaboration.

Virtru and archTIS are two examples of policy decision platforms that integrate with Pexip and are already used by defense and government organizations.

In each integration, the customer’s identity provider supplies information about each participant. The partner’s policy engine evaluates those attributes against the meetings’ requirements, and Pexip applies the resulting decision within the secure collaboration environment.

Depending on the integration and customer requirements, policies can be applied when a meeting is scheduled, when someone attempts to join, and during the meeting itself. Secure collaboration can then respond as participants, missions, and access requirements change.

Find the right level of access control for your meetings. The Pexip Access Control Guide covers the options, from familiar meeting controls to advanced, attribute-based access.
