“One Team” is a Pexip value that shapes my job every day

I’ve been with Pexip for just over a year as a Technical Support Engineer. I love my job and I love the way that I do my job is guided and influenced by the company values, what we call the ”Pexip Way”.

As an individual that favored Construction Management as a life-long career path I would have never thought I would transition into the technology world but I now have nearly three years of technical experience and it is one of the best decisions I’ve made so far in my life.

Before joining Pexip I was at a point in my career where I was seeking new challenges and growth opportunities. My goal for my next role was to move out of my comfort zone into a role that would grant me the opportunity to be challenged technically, but also gain knowledge outside of my responsibilities. Since being a part of Pexip I’ve gotten that and more!

My prior technical background was centered around SaaS Application support that relied on knowledge of the product and typical network standards. As an individual with no videoconferencing expertise, it was not an easy transition. I had to ramp up expeditiously on standard video conferencing protocols and I soon discovered there aren’t a lot of open forums where I could find quick answers.

That is where the company value, “One Team”, comes in. I’ve now been trained by some of the best engineers the industry has to offer. Not once have any of my colleagues left me hanging or not supported me in a situation. Not only are my fellow colleagues willing to train me, they go out of their way to provide proactive assistance. There have been countless times a fellow engineer has taken the time to stay after hours to assist with issues I’ve ran into or stopped what they were doing to help out. Going out of your way to help and provide assistance to others out of the kindness of your heart is a true definition of being “One Team”.

Had it not been for my fellow teammates and their expertise and ability to help guide, I would not be where I am today. I am a better engineer, I can help our customers in a better way, and I love my work. I am ecstatic to be a part of a company that demonstrates this value on a daily basis. Thanks guys!
