Pexip is on a mission to make seamless video communication available to all, no matter which platforms or devices they rely on. This mission takes a major step forward today with the availability of Pexip Connect for Google Meet hardware.
Google Meet hardware is designed to bring the reliable, one-touch simplicity of Meet into every meeting space – and it’s already trusted by millions worldwide. But until now, when a Teams meeting invite landed in the calendar, users had to reach for a laptop or switch devices. That changes today.
With Pexip Connect, joining a Teams meeting is as simple as pressing the Join button on the Google Meet hardware touch panel. No new devices, no new workflows – just one consistent experience, with added flexibility and new ways to leverage your existing room investment.
Awaneesh Verma, Sr. Director for Real Time Communications at Google, says, “Google Workspace customers often collaborate with their external clients and partners on Microsoft Teams. Now they can do this directly in their conference rooms, simply and delightfully through their existing Google Meet hardware supported by Pexip.”
“Today’s milestone builds on more than seven years of collaboration between Google Workspace and Pexip, as we’ve worked together to connect Meet to legacy room systems and make our products available on Google Cloud Marketplace,” says Marius Nilsen, VP, Pexip. “The response from our early access customers shows that Pexip Connect for Google Meet hardware delivers exactly what organizations need to get more value from their meeting spaces.”
Pexip Connect for Google Meet hardware is available globally as SaaS. Admins can enable Meet hardware interoperability organization-wide by simply adding the appropriate license key in the Google Admin console. The result is a simple, consistent way for everyone to collaborate – on their terms, with their preferred Meet hardware.
