Pexip Infinity v41 turns customer feedback into practical improvements

Written by Jordan Owens; VP, Architecture | Jul 27, 2026 8:34:29 AM

This latest version of Pexip was shaped by the people who use it every day. It focuses on refining the meeting experience, simplifying common tasks, and improving the small details that have an outsized impact on how secure meetings feel in practice.

Here’s what’s new.

A more polished meeting experience

Several visible updates in v41 focus on making meetings more seamless and intuitive.

Live captions have been redesigned. Captions history shows more of the conversation, making it easier to catch up or refer back to what was said. Caption controls have also been integrated more naturally into the meeting interface, so they are easier to access and follow, and everything now appears more consistently across web browsers.

Background effects look more natural. Enhanced segmentation and compositing create smoother edges, reduce pixelation, and produce a more natural-looking result.

The self-view experience has been refined. Background effects can now be adjusted directly from the self-view window. Mute controls have also been simplified, with a single, consistent location for muting and unmuting.

Getting into meetings with fewer steps

In v41, we’ve improved the join flow to remove unnecessary friction. When an identity provider is being used, Pexip now automatically uses the participant’s user information from the directory rather than asking them to enter it manually. For other deployments, the name entry has been placed later in the process, creating a cleaner path into the meeting.

More control over in-meeting experiences

This version also introduces improvements to participant pinning, allowing layouts to adapt more intelligently during a conference. Organizations can dynamically update pinning configurations while a meeting is in progress and gain more control over where participants are placed. Empty reserved slots can now also be hidden from sight.

Helping participants stay aware of classification changes

We’ve also made it possible to add your own audio announcements when a meeting’s classification level changes. This is an additional notification mechanism for participants, including those who may be joining audio-only, ensuring that important updates are clearly communicated.

The improvements you don’t see

Alongside the user-facing enhancements, v41 includes operating system updates and platform maintenance designed to keep Infinity secure, stable, and aligned with evolving security requirements. These ongoing improvements help protect deployments against emerging vulnerabilities while ensuring long-term platform reliability.
