Video collaboration provider Pexip continues growth in European market

Oslo, Norway, February 3, 2021 - Video collaboration provider Pexip continues its growth in the European market with the addition of Thomas Nicolaus to the newly created position of Managing Director DACH, effective January 2021. Nicolaus brings over twenty years of experience in senior positions in the field of video conferencing and communications solutions.

"Our team in the DACH region has grown rapidly and we now need local leadership for further expansion. With Thomas Nicolaus, we have found an extremely experienced manager with strong implementation skills who has accompanied and helped drive developments in the video conferencing industry for years. He has already proven his ability to build businesses in a new market, which is why we are entrusting him with the management of this important region for us," says Arild Skiri, Vice President Pexip Central Europe.

Thomas Nicolaus explains: "Pexip is a visionary in the video conferencing market. The platform combines secure, flexible and scalable infrastructure with a particularly lively and pleasant meeting atmosphere. This is very exciting and I look forward to establishing Pexip with my team in the DACH region in a convincing and sustainable way." Pexip's vision is: "To make virtual meetings better than face-to-face meetings." Artificial intelligence paired with high-quality video and audio replicates the real meeting environment, image details are optimally adjusted, and large groups and active speakers are brought to the fore.
SaaS models enable rapid deployment. Customers can choose between implementation in the Pexip private cloud, a shared cloud or on-premise. Combinations are also possible.
The provider places a strong focus on security: the solution complies with numerous industry standards for communication encryption for meetings and end-user devices. A special feature is the high level of interoperability: various video conferencing services can be connected via the platform and linked to virtually all access options, whether via video conferencing device, browser, app or phone. "Pexip can be used and deployed in the way that best suits the technology and infrastructure requirements of the respective company," summarizes Thomas Nicolaus.

With the expansion of activities in the DACH region, the video collaboration provider continues to implement its growth strategy. Thus, the local presence is also to be further expanded, and the opening of local offices is also planned here in the near future.
